I don't have many followers, and most are people I know in real life. But for those that I haven't met, you may have seen my Morrissey cover to the Unite and Take Over book coming out this November at Tucson Comic Con. Every day, I more and more excited by what this book has achieved. Shawn Demumbrum, the publisher and originator of the idea, has done a beast of a job promoting the book, garnering interest from news agencies around the globe. What started off as just a small project, what would have been a print on demand book has turned into a necessitating a second volume. I have already been approached to draw two stories for it, leaving me quite psyched I signed on to what looked like it was going to be just a small press thing.
I've also been working on a few other projects as well. I've done several pieces for Moonstone Comics, and will have another Tucson Comic Con exclusive there. I will post that pic as soon as I have clearance to. I've been asked to help pitch several books, and a writer has asked me to take a look at his graphic novel.
New York Comic Con is right around the corner, 6 weeks goes by so fast. I'm both nervous and ecstatic for the possibilities. Phoenix yielded some good results, so I'm hoping this train of positivity continues.
So I want to thank all you guys, both known friends, and people who follow me just because you like my work. You positive encouragement helps get an artist through the slow times, when the muses just don't answer my call and I'm left sitting there looking at a polar bear in a snowstorm.
